Elton Harding – Cape Town, South Africa

Elton Harding is a South African illustrator and lifelong cartoonist.

He draws primarily with black fineliners on paper, as well as digitally using Apple Pencil on iPad. Many works begin in ink and are later combined with digital techniques.

His drawings are usually spontaneous rather than planned — characters, expressions and strange little moments emerging naturally as the pen moves across the page.

Over decades of drawing, this process has produced a large body of original characters and artworks. These works are now preserved digitally through the Pixelton vault, where each piece is permanently minted on the blockchain and collected by digital art collectors around the world.

Pixelton is both an archive and a living collection — a place where new drawings continue to appear alongside older works created across more than fifty years of drawing.

Alongside his artwork, Elton Harding has spent much of his career as a software developer and entrepreneur. This intersection of art and technology informs the Pixelton project, where traditional hand-drawn illustration meets modern digital archiving and blockchain publishing.
